It is designed to be used in both SD and HD systems. This new monitor also inherits an array of exceptional features from the popular LMD-2451MD. It includes 10-bit signal processing to produce accurate and lifelike images, and enhanced viewing modes such as Picture-in Picture and Mirror Image.

The 19-inch Sony LMD-1951MD SXGA medical LCD monitor is designed for both SD (Standard Definition) and HD (High Definition) systems that generate 4:3/5:4 aspect ratio signal output. The LMD-1951MD incorporates many of the same characteristics and features as the Sony LMD-2451MD, including ChromaTRU™ color processing for excellent picture reproduction, a full 10-bit digital signal processor to produce accurate and lifelike images, and enhanced viewing modes such as Picture-in-Picture and Mirror Image.
Sony LMD-1951MD Boasts a Wide range of standard input interfaces
The LMD-1951MD is equipped with a full range of inputs including Composite, Y/C, RGB/Component, HD15, and DVI-D inputs. Furthermore, the two built-in option slots of the LMD 1951MD accept a variety of option boards. The display offers ultimate flexibility including 3G-SDI input signal and DVI input/output capability. It accepts up to two DVI-D inputs and one DVI loop-through output. Doing so, it allows users to easily expand, select, and change input/output configuration.
The Sony LMD-1951MD monitor can be operated with both AC and DC power sources depending on installation requirements. For DC operation, the optional AC-110MD is required. Its compact design and input flexibility allow the Sony LMD-1951MD to be smoothly integrated into virtually any medical environment. It is mainly integrated in operating rooms, examination rooms, or training labs.

Furthermore, two built-in option ports greatly expand the input signals this monitor can accept. These ports allow users to easily select and change input/output signals for ultimate flexibility via a variety of available option boards, including 3G-SDI input (with the BKM-250TG option board).

Key-inhibit
Users can activate/deactivate control panel buttons with just one touch. Use of this feature helps prevent inadvertent operation of the control panel in a busy environment. When the menu item KEY-INHIBIT is set to ON, control panel buttons cannot be used – this prevents unauthorized alteration of settings.
VESA mounting
The monitor can stand on a desktop or be mounted on the wall or ceiling with a 100 x 100mm VESA arm mount.
