The Sony LMD-X3200MD 32-inch medical grade LCD monitor can display very high quality two-dimensional color video images with 4K resolution from a wide range of medical imaging systems such as surgical endoscopes and laparoscopic camera systems. Its ergonomic design is optimized for environments such as Operating Rooms, surgical centers, clinics and doctors’ offices.
Offering four times the pixel count of Full HD, the Sony LMD-X3200MD provides a clearer view of fine details than conventional medical monitors. Its increased resolution also maintains picture quality when viewing zoomed images, as well as supporting multiple picture display modes for enhanced operability in the OR.
The OptiContrast Panel™ ensures clear, high contrast images by controlling light reflections and dispersion within the Sony LMD-X3200MD LCD panel. The monitor’s advanced new panel design is teamed with powerful Sony digital signal processing to provide a wider color gamut than ordinary LCD medical monitors.
Advanced Image Multiple Enhancer (A.I.M.E.™) technology can be used to accentuate subtle color differences or highlight the outline structure of displayed objects. The LMD-X3200MD features a slim, stylish design to allow easy handling, with a narrow bezel that maximizes the compact LMD-X3200MD monitor’s screen area. Flat surfaces make disinfection simpler in modern clinical environments.

The Sony LMD-X3200MD displays extremely high-quality 4K Ultra HD images with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels (16:9 screen aspect ratio). Thin, light and suitable for boom arm mounting, the monitor features a large 32-inch panel that provides an image wider than the 31-inch LMD-X310MD within the same chassis width.
Anti-reflection structure
The LMD-X3200MD is designed to minimize reflected glare in brightly lit operating rooms, including distracting reflections from surgical lights. The display’s scratch resistant anti-reflection panel structure reduces light dispersion to ensure clear, high-contrast images under a wide range of illumination conditions and under various viewing angles.
Accurate color reproduction and more realistic visualization
The monitor’s advanced LCD panel and signal processing technology support highly consistent, accurate reproduction of a wide color gamut. This complies with ITU-R Recommendation BT.2020 that represents a significantly wider gamut than the BT.709 color space, allowing superior color reproduction and more realistic visualization.
Enhanced clarity with proprietary Advanced Image Multiple Enhancer™ technology
Sony’s proprietary A.I.M.E. (Advanced Image Multiple Enhancer) technology enhances the visibility of displayed images to assist surgical teams. Structure Enhancement mode improves recognition of the object’s outline, allowing structures to be seen more clearly with increased sharpness; while the Color Enhancement mode feature allows tonal differences to be manipulated for greater visibility. Newly added Shadow Enhancement mode improves visibility of fine detail in dark image areas. Enhancement parameters can be adjusted directly via buttons on the monitor’s front panel.
More flexible, user-friendly cabling
All cable connectors on the monitor’s redesigned rear face downward for easier, more tidy cable hook-ups. Installation is simplified with three cable access points. A small cable cover is useful when the Sony LMD-X3200MD is attached to a monitor arm. A medium-sized cable cover specifically for the 12G-SDI input/output connector is useful for providing a through-out connection to a second monitor without removing the large cover that protects all the other connectors.

Note: 4K medical monitors are available in 32-inch LMD-X3200MD and 55-inch sizes. At 32-inches, this screen is the largest size that will fit an endoscopy system (trolley) to provide a full 4K medium-sized panel. At 55-inches, this screen provides the ideal viewing distance when mounted in an operating theatre when installed facing the bed.
