High-speed printing

The  Sony UP-897MD can produce A6-size prints with stunning speed in approximately two seconds*. That is half the speed of conventional printers, making the UP-897MD the fastest printers in their class.

Sony UP-897MD Compact, small footprint design

The UP-897MD have a compact and space-saving design with dimensions of approximately 154 (W) x 88 (H) x 240 (D) mm (6 1/6 x 3 1/2 x 9 1/2 inches). They are approximately 23% smaller than conventional models, which enables them to fit easily into medical carts.

Superior operability

A convenient front LCD display panel and Jog dial offer easy maintenance and flexible set up. Users can operate almost all settings, including designation of print paper type, by using the Jog dial on the front panel. Error messages and the type of print paper selected are displayed on the LCD, from which users can confirm them easily.

Superb print quality and color at approximately 325-dpi resolution

Incorporating Sony dye sublimation printing technology and a high print-head density, the Sony UP-897 can produce photo-quality prints with a high resolution of approximately 325 dpi and a gray level of 256 steps.

Sony UP-897MD Various printing paper line-ups

Three types of printing paper have been prepared to meet the demands of various customers: UPP-110HG, UPP-110HD and UPP-110S. One of them, the UPP-110HG High Glossy Printing Paper can produce high-quality, glossy, and near-photographic printing.

Sony UP-897MD Various print modes

The Sony UP-897MD both offer Standard and Side print modes.

Detailed sharpness setting

The UP-897MD offer a detailed sharpness setting, which can be set from the menu mode at 15 steps.

Multiple copy function

The Sony UP-897 series can produce up to 20 copies* of the last printed image simply by pushing the COPY button.

Sony UP-897MD Zoom function

The prints can be resized from 0.5 to 2 times at 0.1 times steps. Users can select optional areas for re-sizing.

Sony UP-897MD Image capture function

The Sony UP-897MD can capture and save up to 10 transferred images to an embedded memory by pushing the print button. Images saved in the memory can be browsed on the optional monitor, and users can select and print them via the menu setting. In addition, it is possible for users to scale image data in desired areas before re-printing.
